yt-dlp does not support Douyin, so the client has its own resolver: it registers a temporary device credential, reads the post detail interface and pulls the direct link, falling back to a built-in browser when needed. Files keep the original title.
How to save videos from this platform
Copy the video link — from the Share button in the app, or from the browser address bar.
Paste it into the desktop client and press parse, then pick quality, audio and subtitles.
Choose an output folder and start the download. Everything runs on your own machine.
Questions about this platform
Can I download Douyin videos?
Yes. Paste the share link copied from inside the app — the client resolves short links too, and saves video, image sets and the original audio track.
Do I need to log in?
Public posts do not require an account. Region-restricted videos may need cookies imported from your own signed-in browser.
Which Chinese platforms are supported?
Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, Weibo and many more use the same pipeline — each platform has its own page.
